Baptismal Preparation for Children - Ages 4 to 6

This is a program for young children to prepare them to be baptized or make a Profession of Faith. The details of this program are determined by the needs of those who register.

First Reconciliation and First Eucharist Preparation for Children - Ages 8 to 12

This is a program to prepare older baptized children who have not had any formal religious education for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.  The details of this program are determined by the needs of those who register.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC)

This is a program for children 8 to 13 who are unbaptized or baptized in another Christian community who seek to become Catholic. The details of this program are determined by the needs of those who register.

Special Events

During the year we offer opportunities for worship and service for all age levels. The events include monthly family Masses (1st Saturday at 5 PM in the Church); Mission Programs; Reconciliation celebrations for children; Ash Wednesday Prayer Service.

Take Me Home

Periodically the children will receive a packet for at-home use of seasonal activities with information on saints, prayers, home rituals, etc.

Volunteers

Religious education is basically a volunteer program. To accommodate the youth we serve, we need dedicated volunteers. Families who use the program are expected to give their time, talent, and treasure to assure its success. On the registration form you will be asked to note your time and talent contribution.  All adult volunteers will be asked to complete a background check.  Our office will provide the form and pay for processing.
