Pre-Confirmation

These two years fulfill the long range preparation for Confirmation.

This is a program for youth who are currently in 7th & 8th grades in the public schools. After 6 years of core Catholic teachings, the process of development shifts to accommodate the new stage of life these young people are experiencing.  The hard questions are discussed: Who am I? What is the meaning of life...and death?  How do I know what is right?  Why do people suffer?  These young teens will be encouraged to think in newer, more profound ways about Catholic truths.  By the time the young people complete these two years, they will have built upon their first six years in a mature way preparing them for their decision to be confirmed.  This program leaves the classroom and is held in geographic home prayer centers.

October - April

Parent/youth orientation meeting in October. 

Interspersed through the year will be Friday evening socials and service events for these young teens to develop their sense of community.
