From Pre-K to 6th grade we strive to give developmentally appropriate programs that provide families of children who attend the public schools with core Catholic teachings in the parish setting that enriches the primary faith development in the home. We are partners with the parent(s) in their child's faith journey. As part of this process we also help families ritualize the steps on the journey with opportunities to prepare and celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism (older children), First Reconciliation and First Communion at appropriate ages. Along with the Message proclaimed we give the children and parents opportunities to worship as a community in our prayer experiences in individual classrooms, seasonal hall prayers, the celebration of Reconciliation and special Masses. Our hope is to enlighten and encourage families in their journey of faith which we take together as "church." PLEASE NOTE: Again this year we are expanding our Little Church program to include children in Kindergarten. The evening program is difficult for our Kindergarten-aged children and our hope is that with the success of the Little Church format, we will better serve our little ones. |
